    God's Work in Our Midst This Week

    Altar Flowers

    Worship Registration
    If you don't see the event you want in the 'Featured' section of our website (, click on 'Events List' or 'Full Calendar' to find it. Please register everyone planning to attend and sit together.


    New Tax Provision for 2020
    As part of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act there is a provision for universal charitable deduction for all taxpayers of up to $300. Ninety-two percent of taxpayers take a standard deduction rather than itemizing their charitable giving—under the new provision, taxpayers who do not itemize can now directly benefit from their charitable cash donations.  

    Sponsoring Altar Flowers and Eternal Flame
    It's almost 2021 and we are seeking sponsors for weekly Altar Flowers and the monthly Eternal Flame (4 months available - February, June, August and December). Please call or email the church office to become a sponsor; provide the date(s) desired with information on your special event celebration or the names of loved ones being remembered.

    Christmas Worship Registration
    We have room for approximately 40 families to join us for each service on Christmas Eve (1:30pm, 3:30pm, 5:30pm and 7:30pm) and Christmas Day (9:15am). Online registration will close at midnight on December 23 -- sooner if capacity is reached) or call the church office. Please be sure to include the names of all who will be attending with you (sitting in the same pew).

    New Years' Eve Worship Updated
    New Years' Eve 2020 is on a Thursday! Special this year: we will offer worship services at 12:15pm AND 6:30pm! Online registration will be the same as other services and is NOW OPEN. Those without internet access can call the office to be added. When leaving a message, please include the names of all attending, if they will partake of The Lord's Supper and the service day and time desired.

    9:15am In House Worship Returns in 2021!
    Looking toward getting 'back to normal'? On January 10, 2021, the 9:15am in-House worship returns! This will bring our total number of weekly services back to five. On-line registration will continue, as will the use of masks. For those unable to be in-house with us, the 9:15am service Livestream will continue. Watch announcements and the January issue of The Voice for details.

    Servant Opportunities Abound
    As we hold more in-house events, more servants are needed. If you have thought about joining or leading an usher team, now is the time! Would you like to help sanitize the Sanctuary between worship services? Contact the church office for more information.

    Faith Lutheran Church-Green Bay Seeks Bookkeeper
    Faith Lutheran is currently hiring a Bookkeeper to manage the finances & expenditures of the congregation.  The position typically requires  5-6 hours a week.  Please prayerfully consider this role and, if interested or you have any other questions, please email 


    Children/Student Ministries

    Sunday School Returns!
    On January 10, 2021 when our 9:15am service begins in-house again, Sunday school returns as well. We ask that you: 1) Complete the Sunday school registration form (just once per family) at; and 2) Register your child(ren) to attend Sunday school when you register to attend worship. These simple steps will help us be properly prepared. Registration will open for all January 10 services on Monday, January 4, 2021.

    NYG Interest Form
    Planning for the 2022 National Youth Gathering in Houston, TX is underway! It's really NOT that far away!! Youth currently in grades 7-11 are eligible to attend; adults age 21 and older are invited to apply to be a chaperone. Click the word here - YOUTH or CHAPERONE - to register your interest. Our wide-eyed goal is to register 50 youth (we are currently around 25) plus chaperones!

    Boards and Committees

    Mighty Mites-End of Year Push
    Mite Box donations can be dropped off at Our Saviour during regular office hours. Simply call to schedule a time and day. Please bring your mites in a plastic bag and keep your mite box to reuse. As always, we are grateful for your participation in our mission efforts. Help us finish the year strong; contact the office to drop off donations anytime before December 24.

    Christmas Lights
    Habitat for Humanity needs your non-working Christmas lights. As you set up your lights this year, keep those that are no good and bring them to church. Drop off in the box by the 2nd floor elevator, schedule a drop off with the church office or place in the blue bin under the overhang by January 20, 2021.

    2021 Offering Envelopes
    2021 offering envelopes are ready! Here's how to get yours: If you pre-register for worship before the print deadline, your envelopes can be handed to you on the way OUT of worship. If you don't attend worship or don't pre-register before the print deadline, please call to schedule a pickup or to request that your envelopes be mailed to you. Remember to discard your leftover 2020 envelopes at the end of December and - please - do not use your 2021 envelopes until on or after January 3, 2021.

    Our Lutheran Schools

    Green Bay Trinity Christmas Program
    The students of Green Bay Trinity will be sharing the Christmas story on Friday, December 18 at 1:30pm and 6:30pm as well as on Monday, December 21 at 6:30pm. All three events will be livestreamed on the TRINITY YouTube channel; click for the link here.

    NEWLHS Now Enrolling Transfer Students
    You have a choice! NEW Lutheran High School is now accepting transfer applications in grades 9, 10 & 11.  Limited seats are available in each class for live, face-to-face instruction on our east side campus.  For more information about the outstanding Christian education offered , contact Executive Director Chris Nelson at 920-471-5754 or click on the Admissions tab at

    Watch for signs on/near the entry doors and register with the office upon arrival.

    Parking Lot Watch
    The parking lot and green space are used during recess for Preschool and Trinity students age 3-14 to play, with up to 140 children on the property on any given day.  From the hours of 2:30-3:30 pm, many cars line up in the parking lot to pick up their students at the end of the school day. If possible, please avoid visiting the church during that time. 

    Concordia University Green Bay
    Did you know that Green Bay has a Concordia Campus? (It's actually in Ashwaubenon!) They offer many Undergraduate and Graduate programs as well as online courses. For more information, call the admission counselor at (920) 498-2551 or send an email to

    Pastoral Visits
    We continue to offer pastoral visits with prayer and/or The Lord’s Supper at the door. Call the church office at (920) 468-4065 to schedule.

    In-House Worship
    - Please arrive no more than 20 minutes early
    - Entry and exit for everyone is under the overhang
    - Register online (highly recommended) by Wednesday for Thursday or by noon on Friday for Sunday. OR call the church office by the deadline if you can't sign up online.
    - Properly worn masks are required (except for those age 2 and under).

    To purchase SCRIP, place your order by phone then schedule a pick up day and time. See exceptions below of Michelle's availability for sales. We have several cards available in $5 and $10 amounts on hand...ask when you call, if interested.

    Scroll to the bottom of the website home page to download the OSLC app from Google Play or App Store. Use the app to register for worship, view a recorded live stream event, send an online gift and more.

    Help Your Neighbor 

    Food Donations for Manna for Life
    We continue to help by using our food barrel by the 2nd floor elevator and adding the collection container outside of the main entrance (under the overhang) for you to place donations if you are not yet coming to church. Non-perishable items such as peanut butter, canned vegetables, canned fruit in lite syrup, tuna, chicken, cereal, etc. are all greatly appreciated by those in need. Our next delivery to Manna for Life will be Monday, December 21.

    Current Collections
    We accept the following items when you attend church (by the 2nd floor elevator) or you can drop off items in the blue container under the overhang at church. The bin is checked regularly or call the office to schedule a drop off time.
               Non-perishable food for Manna for Life (see above)
               Stamps for LWML (leave a ¼” edge around the stamp)
               Coupons for our Military base in Japan (see below)
               Plastic bags for making mats
               Empty ink cartridges
               Coke Points (bottle caps, multipack-carton/overwrap)
               Box Tops for Education (for Green Bay Trinity)
               Can Pop Tops (for Ronald McDonald House)

    If you are saving coupons for our adopted military base in Japan, please cut and sort  (food or non-food) if you are able. OR provide coupon sheets, and we will cut/sort. Coupons to be sent in early January must be received by January 3, 2021 and have expiration dates of October 31, 2020 or LATER. Questions can be directed to Michelle in the office.

    Benefit Our Saviour When You Shop
    There are many ways that your shopping can benefit Our Saviour Lutheran Church. These programs are available year round - not just at Christmas-time:
    ** Before you shop anywhere, purchase SCRIP! Cards available can be used for groceries, gas, restaurants, Amazon, WalMart and more. Contact Michelle in the church office to order and pick up during office hours.
    ** If you don't have an Office Depot rewards account, bring your receipt to OSLC and we can apply it for credit.
    ** If you don't mail in the Menard's rebate receipts, bring the rebate slip before the last mailing date.
    ** Use when you order from Amazon; select Our Saviour as your charity of choice.
