    Special Worship and Bible Study News

    Coming this fall - ENGAGING The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People
    Join us for our fall class based on the bestselling book by Steven R. Covey. Learn to engage these simple but powerful habits - they will weave themselves into your faith-life. This class will meet on Wednesday evenings from 6-7:30pm for six evenings beginning  October 6. Call the church office to reserve your seat. Members and non-members are welcome. The only cost is your time and effort! Call (920) 468-4065. Michelle is waiting for your call. Pastor Dave is the guide for this course. Zoom is an option for Wednesday nights; you must call the office to be placed on the email list to receive the Zoom link.

    Protocols and Communion
    COVID protocols are below, separated by the service day and times to which they apply:
              Thursday 12:15pm and Sunday 7:45am - Masks required (unless age 2 or under); social distancing; no singing. Communion will be served in the pews with the prefilled cups.
              Thursday 6:30pm and Sunday 9:15am and 10:45am - No protocols. Communion at the rail with wine and wafer.

    Communion Outside of Inside Worship
    During the 9:15am in-house worship, we offer parking lot communion. Contact the church by NOON on Friday if you plan to stay in your vehicle and have communion brought to you after distribution during the 9:15am service on any given Sunday. Pastor will also visit you at home; call the office anytime to schedule.

    God's Work in Our Midst This Week

    Eternal Flame
    The Eternal Flame for the month of  September is sponsored by Steve and Roxanne Siekmann in loving memory of Jack Natzke.

    How Can You Serve at OSLC?
    We are looking for more people on Thursdays and Sundays to assist with Ushering duties plus Livestream and in-worship slide techs (training provided). Families can work together...engage your children in service to the church.  Let us know what service(s) you attend and we will place you with others who want serve the Lord at Our Saviour. The more people that get involved, the less work there is for everyone! Join the 'crowd'!!

    Sponsoring Altar Flowers
    We are seeking more sponsors for weekly Altar Flowers. Please call or email the church office to become a sponsor; provide the date(s) desired with information on your special event celebration or the names of loved ones being remembered.

    Operation Wisconsin Joy
    Items for the Afghan refugees at Fort McCoy will be received until 4pm on Sunday, September 12. We thank everyone at our collection site in and around Green Bay for their generosity during this time. The truck, donated by U&I Movers Express in Green Bay, will be loaded Sunday afternoon and will depart Green Bay for Fort McCoy on Monday, September 13.     Children/Student Ministries

    Fall Confirmation Classes
    If your child should be attending Confirmation classes this year, please contact the church office as soon as possible. Classes began on Wednesday, September 8 with alternating fun youth nights (for grades 5-12) starting September 15. Check the calendar at for a full calendar of events.

    National Youth Gathering - Register NOW!
    You can still register for the 2022 National Youth Gathering in Houston, TX which is less than 12 months away! Youth entering grades 8-12 this year are eligible to attend; adults age 21 and older are invited to apply to be a chaperone with Our Saviour's group. Click the word here - YOUTH or CHAPERONE - to register your interest. Our wide-eyed goal is to register 50 youth (we are currently at 30) plus chaperones!

    Sunday School Kicks Off September 12
    Register online (which is NOW up and running) or complete a bright green paper form available at the Welcome Center. Families should attend the 9:15am service; children will be dismissed to their classrooms and returned to the Sanctuary before the end of the service.  We still want to add more teachers and a Director.     Youth Flower Sales
    Flowers can be ordered online at until 11:59pm Friday, September 10. If you ordered flowers from the website, please watch for a notice of the pick up dates and times next week. If you have questions, contact the church office at (920) 468-4065. If you ordered from a youth, they will be arrange a delivery or pick up time directly with you.

    Lambeau Field News

    See Lambeau Field From the 'Other Side'!
    OSLC runs a concessions stand in the temperature-controlled Club Seats at Lambeau Field. More workers are needed; we have averaged only about 11 per game. Workers must be at least 14 years old, have a drivers' license (picture student ID with birth certificate for minors without a DL) and be able to work on your feet. Required online training is now the church office at (920) 468-4065 or . Work just one game or all. Families (parents, grandparents, aunts/uncles, etc.) with children in the church's preschool, Green Bay Trinity and/or NEW Lutheran High School can earn money for their tuition account or the child's youth account at the church office for details on this opportunity. NOTE: NEW MASKING PROTOCOLS EFFECTIVE AUGUST 18...for employees and volunteers working in an indoor space (such as our concession stand in Club Seats), masks are required without regard to vaccination status.

    September 20 Game Workers Needed
    We need to send in the gatelist of workers for this Monday night game by Thursday, September 16. If you are planning, please notify Neil and/or the church office as soon as possible. If you need to complete the Green Bay SportService training or the ServSafe training and testing, please contact the church office for the links.

    Boards and Committees

    Mite Boxes
    It's the 2nd Sunday of the month...that means it's Mite Box Sunday! Please keep filling those Mite boxes. We continue to collect your mites during the week - please put your Mites in a plastic bag or envelope, keeping your Mite Box to reuse, then contact the church office to schedule a drop off day and time. Thanks.

    Chicks with Stix Seek Winter Gear
    The time is getting near~it's never too early (or too late) to start knitting those hats, scarves and mittens that are needed for Wisconsin winters. Many in our area will stay warm this winter because you gave of your time and talent. Contact Caroline Arndt with questions at (920) 469-3140.

    Altar Guild
    The next meeting of the Altar Guild will take place at 6:30pm on Monday, September 26 via Zoom. If you are interested in joining in on this meeting and you are not already a member of the Altar Guild, please contact the church office so that you can receive a link to the meeting.     Our Lutheran Schools

    Schools Are Back in Session
    Green Bay Trinity Lutheran School has more than 100 students registered and Our Saviour's Preschool has more than 30 students...that's a lot of children in and around the building on any given weekday. Please use caution when driving in the parking lots. All outside doors will remain locked at all times; use the call button at the South door to request entry. If using your own key, you are asked to check in with the church office upon arrival. Student drop off (7:45-8am) and pick up (2:45-3:30pm) on school days may cause lines of cars to block parking spots, etc. Please avoid arriving or leaving during these times when possible.

    NEW Lutheran High Community Impact Night at Pizza Ranch
    Join us on Monday, September 13th from 4-8pm for a great meal at Pizza Ranch.  10% of the sales plus all tips during this time will go directly to NEW Lutheran High School. Thanks for your support.

    We accept the following items when you attend church (place in the appropriate container by the 2nd floor elevator) or you can place items in the blue container under the overhang anytime (the bin is checked regularly on weekdays) or call the office to schedule a face to face drop off time.
               Non-perishable food for Manna for Life (next delivery date will be Monday, September 20)
               Stamps for LWML (leave a ¼” edge around the stamp - standard/flag forever stamps are not needed)
               Coupons for our Military base in Japan (see below)
               Plastic bags for making mats
               Empty ink and toner cartridges (for Trinity and Our Saviour - recycle value is $2 each)
               Coke Points (code can be found on bottle caps, multipacks-carton/overwrap)
               Box Tops for Education (for Green Bay Trinity) - if an item has a BTFE symbol, the store receipt from that purchase is
                         needed to redeem for cash
               Can Pop Tops (for Ronald McDonald House)
               Aluminum Cans - Place in can door or leave cans by the shed; let the office know so they can be placed inside the shed.

    Coupons for Military Families
    If you are saving coupons for our adopted military base in Japan, please cut and sort  (food or non-food) if you are able. OR provide coupon sheets, and we will cut/sort. Coupons to be sent in early NOVEMBER are due Friday, November 4th. Coupons must have an expiration date of August 31 or LATER. Questions can be directed to Michelle in the office.

    Outside Our Walls

    North Wisconsin District  Adult Gathering
    Make plans now to attend the next NWD Adult Gathering on Tuesday, October 12 at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Weston from 10am-2:30pm with registration beginning at 9:30am. Rev. Dr. Robert Weise will share "Aging Well in Christ in the Topsy-Turvy World" (Gray Hair, Wrinkles and Sore Joints). Cost is $25 which incudes morning refreshments, program and lunch.     Christ of the Bay Seeks Nursery Worker
    Christ of the Bay Lutheran Church, Green Bay, is looking to hire one person, age 18 or older, to watch nursery kids during the 9am Sunday worship (8:30am to 10:30am) and on Wednesday nights (5:15pm to 7:15pm).
