Sunday School Registration form

Please fill out the form once for each child (we thank you for your diligence and understanding in the seemingly repetitive nature of doing this, however by having a complete form for each child we are able to ensure that the information is accurate for each child and ensure your child's teacher has the correct information).

Our Sunday School Program is offered during the 9:15 am service from mid-September through May.

The Sunday School Program is a Christ-centered program. Our curriculum used is about Jesus and each week children will hear the Word of God. Our program goal is to tie His Word into their daily lives, teach of God’s love and forgiveness through Jesus Christ, and grow in faith. Our teachers work in traditional classroom settings for all ages 4K – 5th /6th Grade. Together they open up the Bible, relate and refer to the Small Catechism, and learn the traditions of the Lutheran Church by helping the in services, the Pastors, and the church community.

Our teachers are faith-driven Christians who graciously share their time and talents with all the children. Without them our program could not exist as it does today. Many of our teachers have found this experience to be extremely rewarding beyond words. Children have a way of teaching us… even though we are supposed be the ones teaching them. We welcome all those who are interested in teaching or serving the Lord in this most wonderful way.

The ease of our curriculum, the flexible lesson layouts and easy-to-use materials along with online support makes Growing in Christ perfect for our teachers. Children are sent home with the story & lesson taught each week. We encourage and welcome parent participation in all classes.  Our classes take place during the 9:15 am service; children are dismissed for Sunday School after the children’s message. Our class schedule consists of:

  • Welcome time & Prayer time

  • Reading of the week’s Scripture verse and Bible story

  • Getting to the heart of the Bible teachings and engage students with age-appropriate discussions

  • Games, crafts, etc that reflect or relate to the weeks story

  • Review basic teachings – Lord’s Prayer, 10 Commandments, Books of the Bible, etc.

  • Close with prayer
